Monday 7th January

The first day and the first time to collaborate with the the designer.

After the Introduction, we know some key information

1the design of the clothing is office wear

2 age:27-50

3 clean simple/tone white.black.gray

we did the test shoot of the garment while the thing that we think is challenging is “how can we do to make it different?” The information they gave us is too detail so that we think its hard to explore more different thing(camping have to fit the idea that designer want)

we think about doing the concept about doing things in daily life

people go to the office every day/go to having food every etc. something simple and common

research the photography work that about “daily things”, we found out the pictures look not only sad but boring, so we decided to do this concept and make it fun.

Tuesday 8th January

About the daily things, the first thing that we think about is the bus stop. We plan to shoot in the bus stop that full of bags hanging on the board(bus stop), the set and the people will be contradistinction, feel like the set is mean about inside of the office women while she wearing a boring office suit.

While after the test shoot of the location we found out so point that could make the idea work.

• Too many people at the bus stop
• it will be hard to shoot when traffic is busy
• bags aren't  suited to the location
• its raining and the lighting isn't that good

Then we think about shooting in other places(public), while it won't fit the concept we have, so we decided to build a set that indoor

Thursday 10th January

We have a new concept during searching the air b&b.

We want to show what “inside the office women mind”, office suit seems dignified while I think under the suit, evert women still have the hunger or the desire.

We chose the location that is gloomy and a bit creepy (with an old bed and a big window)

For that styling part, we want to let it feel like unrestrained, so we let the model wear the clothing properly (like the style in the website).Wearing the body suit to let the audience could be focused on the garment.

We want to make the body suit be the same colour as the shoes, so we deside to paint it in dark colour, while when we were dying the body suit, the suit doesn't even change the colour.We tried to spray paint the suit, at first we thought it will be sticky or be too hard, while it look well after the spray paint, just like a normal blue body suit.

Friday 11th January and Weekend

The shooting day.

We spent 2 hours to filming and shooting, and we found out the “bad lighting” was actually suit to the concept(so actually we can just shoot it yesterday night)

I think the model we found is so professional, model know how to do the poses sometime even will give us some suggestion about the angle(she have lots of experience)

At first we thought the time won't be enough if we only have 2 hours, but actually, we can finish it and we even did the test shoot!(I think is because everyone is so stressed and nervous)

while we can't really choose the image that we really like,all the image is so boring and normal, can’t feel the passion in it(just like the normal commercial poster)

While we can’t book the air b& b again(un bookable)

Saturday 12th January

We think our film is much better than our poster.We referenced the Richard Quinn (Autumn / Winter 2016) film by Nikolay Biryukov.

using “sound “rather then music can make the video more creepy.

I was ill so that I didn't join the making sound group, but I still send the sound that I made for them so that they can have some reference.

I did the sound of cropping soap /stamping on the phone/and rasping bowl etc.

They have combine some of my idea with the sound they made,and the final “sounds” is great.

We didn't do too much editing cause the original film is good enough,and the choosing part(choosing short film that we get) isn't that hard either.

We really satisfied with our final outcome (only the film,not the poster.The poster is super boring If I have one more chance to shoot I will put some interesting set ex: full of mirrors in the background)
